Split Soya Beans
Soy Beans are a convenient and versatile legume that is popular in
Indian and vegetarian cooking. Soy beans have a subtle. nuttv flavour and aroma. They can be used to make sov milk, or prepared for savoury snacks, soups and hotpots, and baking recipes
You can also use split Soy Beans to make Tempeh and tofu.
To cook, soak the soybeans in cold water at a ratio of 1:8, for 8 hours or overnight, then drain and rinse soaked soy beans thoroughly before bringing to boil in a pot of water 1:4. Let boil on medium heat for 3-4 hours, or until tender.
