Yellow Mustard Seeds
Yellow mustard seeds have a wonderful spicy flavour and aroma, that is milder than the brown variety.
These dried seeds can be used in bottled vegetables, chutneys, pickles and sauces. To make fresh mustard paste to use as a delicious condiment combine 1/2 cup whole or ground seeds with 1/2 cup water, 3 to 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let stand for 20 minutes, before mixing with your choice of honey, turmeric and dried spices of choice.
Sauté or dry roast seeds to add aromatic warmth to curry pastes and spice blends.
