Thyme
Dried thyme has a savoury, herbaceous flavour and a pungent aroma.
It is a traditional ingredient in many cuisines and can be used in a bouquet garni sachet.
Add thyme to soups, stews and sauces. Thyme is a beautiful accompaniment for baked fish or fried chicken.
It imparts a delicious taste to roasted pumpkin, carrots and potatoes.
Mix thyme with a little grated Parmesan cheese and crushed garlic before tossing through cooked potatoes or sprinkling over focaccia.
