Turmeric
Turmeric has a warm, earthy aroma and a pungent, peppery flavour that is slightly bitter. It adds wonderful taste and colour to savoury dishes, raw foods and hot or cold drinks. Add to hot pots, soups, rice dishes and curries. Great with lentils, kidney beans, potato, cauliflower or chicken.
Turmeric is a popular addition to smoothies, juices and lattes.
Combine turmeric with black pepper and your choice of sweet and warm spices, like cinnamon and cardamom, to make delicious golden chai.
