Pinenuts are a traditional ingredient in pesto. Combine with fresh basil, a little olive oil and grated parmesan cheese (optional) in a blender to create this simple yet mouth-watering paste for pasta sauces, dips and as a spread in wraps and sandwiches. For some variety replace basil with fresh coriander or rocket leaves.
Add pinenuts to raw and baked goods; or lightly toast and toss over salads and hot dishes.
